Telangana’s state-backed startup incubator T-hub in collaboration with FalconX Inc has rolled out its startup booster programme, Trestle. The programme is expected to provide growth-stage startups with opportunities to assess product fitment and readiness to new markets across the globe.

According to a press statement, T-Hub’s Trestle is designed to provide Indian startups with the right resources and connections to foray into the global market. Moreover, it also offers international startups a platform to enter the Indian market. “The program can be seen as a structured effort by T-Hub to expand and strengthen its ecosystem in different countries,” the statement read.

Announcing details of the programme, T-Hub said that the company along with FalconX Inc. will select five startups from T-Hub’s other Indian incubated programmes. Further, these selected startups will participate in an intensive five-month training program.

T-Hub CEO Ravi Narayan acknowledged the growing maturity of Indian startups and their potential to enter the global arena. “Trestle program is designed for startups that are looking for Go-To-Market (GTM) support, for scaling and tuning their business model for expansion in the US markets,” he added.

On the collaboration with FalconX Inc, Narayan added that it is the first step in the direction to provide international market access to disruptive startups in the country.

While highlighting the eligibility of the startups, the T-Hub’s statement read, “Startups will qualify based on technological solutions, product/solution readiness, revenue models and growth potential.” Moreover, startups at the growth stage, working in deeptech, fintech and cleantech sectors will have a higher chance of being accepted for the programme.

Selected startups are expected to gain access to the community of T-Hub and FalconX Inc. The programme also includes interventions collectively designed by both parties. During the final stretch, startups will visit FalconX Inc office in Silicon Valley for mentoring sessions.

Government Incubating Indian Startup

Under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology’s (MeitY) Startup Hub, Technology Incubation Development for Entrepreneurs 2.0 (TIDE 2.0) programme aims to empower around 2000 tech startups. The startups will be provided with training, funding opportunities etc., and are expected to help India’s socio-economic growth.

The programme also strengthens 51 incubation centres in the country. MeitY is also planning to digitally map innovative products by small entrepreneurs and artisans in villages across India.

The MeitY startup hub launched on Monday has been set up in order to facilitate MeitY’s vision of promoting technology innovation, startups and creation of intellectual properties.
