Startup Events This Week: The Dialogue By Inc42 And Dell, SMARTup Hyderabad And More

BIGShift is an Inc42 initiative in association with DigitalOcean, to enable, engage and empower India’s Tier 2 startups. The idea is to celebrate, discover, connect the local startup ecosystem in India’s emerging Tier 2 startup hubs while empowering them through much-needed support.

As part of BIGShift, over the course of an evening, there will be dedicated sessions, keynotes, a panel discussion which will be followed by the highlight of each evening — the BIGShift Pitch. The first edition of BIGShift will take place in Chandigarh on July 19.

Last week, Deloitte has successfully hosted its sixth Morning Pitch event in India. The four startups — Agribuddy, Entuple E-Mobility, Staqu, and Addverb — pitched their ideas at the event for partnerships, funding and M&A interest.

The Dialogue By Inc42 & Dell

Inc42 and Dell are bringing the startup ecosystem together for The Dialogue on June 27 to celebrate MSME Day 2019 and help startups, tech giants navigate the MSME market, opportunities, and challenges to help them efficiently work with this vibrant sector.

The Inc42 and Dell Dialogue for the MSME sector will debate and seek answers to the issues in MSME sector in India, and how startups and tech giants are solving these issues to help MSMEs scale up. It will also decide the course of startup innovation towards the MSME sector by identifying the key issues that need to be tackled first.

India Innovation Accelerator Program 2019

Facebook has announced the second edition of the India Innovation Hub Accelerator program, focused on ‘AI for Social Good’. This edition of the accelerator program aims to support startups that are focused on building products and services, which are solving complex social problems, using AI in the domains of Gender Equality, Decent Work and Economic Opportunity, Innovation Infrastructure, Climate Change, and Peace and Justice.

Startups selected for the program will receive support to scale their efforts and improve their products and services, to better tackle fundamental challenges facing the region, as well as scale internationally. Facebook will provide technical support, mentorship, training on the use of Facebook products and tools, and access to dozens of experts within the company. Through various interventions, Facebook and T-Hub will help startups refine their methodology and playbook, accelerating their growth.

SMARTup Hyderabad 2019

SMARTup is a series of knowledge sharing roundtables and networking event being organized by ah! Ventures and meetingsandoffices.com. The event is being held across three different cities including Hyderabad, Goa and Pune.

The Hyderabad event will focus on issues and problems of early stage startups such as angel tax, difference between artificial intelligence and machine learning, the art of networking, an investor’s perspective about the startup being ready for funding, reasons why startups fail, product validation and new generation marketing, among others.
