Inc42 flagged off its Ask Me Anything series inviting prominent entrepreneurs and investors in the ecosystem

Women Entrepreneurship Platform, NITI Aayog, is hosting a webinar discussing business in the time of covid-19

Last week, Inc42 flagged off its Ask Me Anything’ webinar series along with 3one4 Capital founding partner Siddharth Pai. In the conversation with the Inc42’s founder and CEO Vaibhav Vardhan, Pai spoke about the flow of venture capital in the startup world, the sectors that will take off and how startups should approach the current situation. Pai also highlighted that the days of east money are over and the startups would really have to thrive for fundraising.

The Ask Me Anything series is a part of Inc42’s #StartupsVsCovid19 campaign, under which we are looking to highlight the efforts put in by Indian startups community to fight the deadly coronavirus that has taken over the world. Besides this, the series would also highlight essential that startups need to keep in mind to keep their businesses up and running.

For its second episode, Inc42 invited Ashish Tulsian, CEO and cofounder of cloud-based restaurant technology platform POSists. Tulsian highlighted that the current lockdown, which will get extended as per him, will have an irreversible impact on the consumer habits. He believes that the online food delivery system would still be able to pick up pace, but dine-in services would still take time to recover.

Inc42 also hosted Dhruvil Sanghavi, CEO and cofounder of LogiNext, who emphasised on buildinon alternative supply chain models. He also spoke about the potential and current challenges in the logistics sector, expected trends in the SaaS industry.

Today, Inc42 also organised another AMA session with 1mg’s Prashant Tandon. Tandon started epharmacy 1mg in 2015, along with Gaurav Agarwal and Vikas Chauhan. The online pharmacy platform currently holds about 35% share of the category amongst medical apps. 1mg has raised close to $170 Mn in funding from eminent investors — Sequoia Capital, Maverick Ventures, HBM Healthcare Investments and Omidyar Network.

Amit Gupta has previously founded mobile advertising platform InMobi, which is India’s first unicorn. In 2017, Gupta founded electric mobility startup Yulu, along with RK Misra, Naveen Dachuri and Hemant Gupta. The company has raised $16.5 Mn so far, from Blume Ventures, 3one4 Capital, WaveMaker and Bajaj Auto Limited.

Siddharth Talwar, Partner And Cofounder, Lightbox Ventures

Among these entrepreneurs, Inc42 Siddharth Talwar, cofounder and Partner at Lightbox Ventures, which has invested in 21 early-stage tech companies including — Dunzo, Bombay Shirt Company, Generico, Rebel Foods and more. The VC firm closed its third fund at $209 Mn.

Business In The Time Of COVID-19: Webinar By Women Entrepreneurship Platform, NITI Aayog

‘Business in the time of COVID-19’ by Women Entrepreneurship Platform, NITI Aayog, in collaboration with Avaana Capital is hosting an informative web series to provide women entrepreneurs with strategies and best practices to help them navigate through the impact of the pandemic. The event is supported by Inc42.

The panel will be led by Avaana Capital founder and chairperson of NITI Aayog WEP Investment Council, Anjali Bansal. The panel would also include Geeta Goel (Michael & Susan Dell Foundation), Tej Kapoor (Co-Executive President of Fosun RZ Capital), Pragya Misra (Communications Manager at WhatsApp), Akhil Handa (Head – Fintech, Partnerships & Mobile Banking at Bank of Baroda) and Shalaka Joshi (Gender Lead, South Asia for the International Finance Corporation).
