The sixth annual Indian Alternative Investments Summit (IAIS) was also hosted last week. The event was jointly organised by the Association of International Wealth Management of India (AIWMI) and Indian Association of Alternative Investment Funds (IAAIF). It saw participation from trustees and representatives of institutions as well as money managers and consultants. It also provided a platform for in-depth private meetings with active investors.
Also, the Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell) of Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT-B) successfully hosted the fifth chapter of ‘The Ten Minute Million Challenge’, as part of its annual event – The Entrepreneurship Summit.
During this event, 10 selected startups got an opportunity to pitch their ideas to investors and raised a funding of INR 16 Lakh ($22.4K).
Another interesting event that took place last week was the first edition of SaaSBooMi, a SaaS conference where the participants got an opportunity to showcase their product apart from attending workshops on go-to-market strategy and investor readiness sessions.

Inc42 Founders Meetup
Inc42 is all set to host the fifth edition of its Founders Meetup this week. The theme is Startup Resolutions for 2019. In this edition, about 50 startup founders and hustlers are expected to participate in an evening of networking during which they will discuss their goals for 2019.
The agenda continues to remain the same: sharing of knowledge, discussing challenges, and interacting with peers. The hunger and survival needs i.e. food and coffee are being managed by our logistics partners, Sleepy Owl and Wok Me.

Convergence India 2019 Expo
The 27th Convergence India expo will be hosted in Delhi to highlight the latest trends and technologies in telecom, broadcast, cable and satellite TV, cloud and big data, IoT, etc.
The event will also provide a platform for participants to engage with digital innovators, international business experts, telecom and broadcasting experts, leaders from IT, internet and IoT industries.
Over 1,500 delegates and 25K visitors are expected to participate in the three-day event.
