Bangalore-based online sport store, Sports365, has acquired Tennishub.in, an online tennis store, for an undisclosed amount.
With this deal, the complete team of Tennishub will join Sports365 and continue to drive the business forward.
Sports365 has also launched Runninghub.in, which will cater exclusively to running enthusiasts.
Tennishub was founded in 2012 by Tennis player and Olympian, Vishnu Vardan and Afroze Khan, a sports entrepreneur. The startup is an exclusive online Tennis marketplace that gives access to best suited products for every level and style of play, at affordable prices.
Within 3 years since its inception, the company has carved a niche for itself with its wide collection of products and superior customer experience.

On the other hand, Runninghub.in, will cater exclusively to running enthusiasts. It will offer a well-curated selection of running shoes, apparel, running gear and nutrition-related products. With 1000 plus items to choose from across all running brands, it offers the widest range of products in this realm at affordable prices.
Runninghub’s USP will not be limited to merchandise alone. For the first time in India, runners would be able to get their ‘GAIT Analysis’ done online; all they need to do is upload a small 20 second video. A team of experts would analyze the same and would provide recommendation on shoes that are suitable for every individual runner.
Besides, the portal also allows runners to interact with experts and take advice in real time for a healthier and more enthusiastic running community in the country.

Earlier, Sports365 had raised $1 Mn from existing investor Powerhouse Ventures and Zolon Ventures. Prior to that, it had raised $500K in a seed round funding from F&F and Powerhouse Ventures.
