Quick home service startup Snabbit has raised $30 Mn (about INR 265 Cr) in its Series C funding round led by Bertelsmann India Investments (BII), with participation from existing backers Lightspeed, Elevation Capital, and Nexus Venture Partners.

The startup said in a statement that it plans to use the fresh funds to expand into new high-frequency service categories, including cooks, childcare, and elderly care, while deepening its presence across major Indian cities.

The startup, which recently shifted its headquarters from Mumbai to Bengaluru, currently operates in five cities and facilitates over 10,000 jobs a day through a 100% women-led workforce of 5,000 trained “experts”.

Days after moving to Bengaluru, quick service startup Snabbit is raising INR 265.4 Cr (about $30 Mn) in its Series C round led by Bertelsmann Nederland BV, per the startup’s MCA filings.

Existing investors Lightspeed Venture Partners, Elevation Capital, and Nexus Venture Partners are also participating in the round. In its filing, the startup said that it needs the funds to meet its working capital requirements and sustain the growth of its user base across India. Entrackr was the first to report the development.

If the round pans out, this would mark the instant domestic help service provider’s third funding round within 2025. The Bengaluru-based startup earlier raised $19 Mn in May from Lightspeed and $5.5 Mn in January from Elevation Capital.

This also comes shortly after the startup shifted its corporate headquarters from Mumbai to Bengaluru as part of its expansion plan. Besides, Snabbit announced the appointments of ex-CRED product and business lead Kansal as its product head and Porter’s ex-vice president Ankit Srivastava as its tech head. The startup has also brought on ex-CRED Anurag Meher as data head and Capt. HK Sharma as Head of Trust, Safety & Law Enforcement.

Founded in 2024 by ex-Zepto chief of staff Aayush Agarwal, Snabbit offers trained and verified domestic help, including cleaners, cooks, and dishwashers, available within 10–15 minutes. Via its app, the startup offers on-demand help across Mumbai, Bengaluru and Delhi NCR, claiming to serve more than 6,000 families.

Speaking with Inc42 earlier in September, Agarwal highlighted five major business focusses of the startup in the near term:

  • Expand Workforce Base: Snabbit aims to ramp up its pool of trained “experts” from around 2,500 to 820,000, onboarding about 1,500 new recruits every month.
  • Scale Geographic Presence: The startup plans to expand operations to the top 200 micro-markets across major Indian cities within the next six months, with deeper penetration in NCR, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Thane.
  • Boost Daily Order Volume: Snabbit targets to serve 1 Mn on-demand household orders per day, supported by improved demand prediction, workforce placement, and operational optimisation through AI-driven logistics.
  • Enhance Platform Reliability: With customer complaints around punctuality and app support, Snabbit aims to improve availability, quality, and tech responsiveness, focusing on customer NPS as its key operating metric.
  • Strengthen Worker Welfare & Retention: It plans to launch financial inclusion products, including micro-credit and advance salary facilities, while expanding insurance coverage for experts and their families, ensuring long-term workforce stability and trust.

India’s instant home services market — offering on-demand domestic help at the tap of an app — has been witnessing a notable uptick in recent times. For instance, the Diwali season itself saw the segment collectively recorded close to 8 Lakh orders, as per Inc42 research.

The surge highlights how urban households are increasingly turning to verified, tech-enabled professionals for convenience, reliability and speed, signalling a major behavioural shift in India’s $45 Bn high-frequency services market.

In this segment, Snabbit competes directly with Urban Company’s Insta Help and General Catalyst-backed Pronto in the fast-growing instant home services space.

However, the rise of instant home services mirrors early food delivery and quick commerce models, where the comfort of the offering by a startup often trumps the company’s profitability.

While these platforms have shown strong growth in recent times, high onboarding costs, seasonal worker migration, and compliance with labour laws may strain profitability in the near term. Besides, there is also regulatory overhang, as state and central authorities weigh new guidelines around worker welfare, minimum wages, and social security.

Amid these, Snabbit and peers are currently focusing on category creation, with plans to tighten unit economics once scale is achieved.
