Skill assessment platform for recruiting and hiring talent, DoSelect was acquired by Naukri.com’s parent company InfoEdge. InfoEdge has acquired 100% of the company in an all cash deal.

This deal enables the Sanjeev Bickchandani founded InfoEdge to offer a new variety of services under its brand Naukri.com, helping the platform consolidate its position in the market.

Based in Bengaluru,  DoSelect is the brainchild of ex-InMobi and NIT Jamshedpur graduates – Iliyas Shirol, Rohit Tirkey, and Sanket Saurav. The startup became operational in 2015 as a collaborative and technology-independent hiring tool for companies to hire the right kind of talent.

Currently, the company claims to have clients from over 100 enterprises including Amazon India, InMobi and Atom Technologies.

Within 5 years, the DoSelect has managed to revamp the Learning Management System (LMS) for various enterprises realising a net profit of 60.2%. Features of the platform include a ready to use library consisting of questions regarding coding and other job seeking requirements.

“ At 3one4 we are delighted that the team will now scale the product further in partnership with the market leader and India’s largest digital recruitment solution, Naukri.com. This acquisition will add a powerful layer of tech led assessment to the existing Naukri.com platform and evolve DoSelect to become the de facto solution for tech companies to  discover, access and hire the best talent,” a company statement read.

The Covid-19 pandemic had not only slowed down global markets and economy, it had even hit jobs directly as highlighted in the Naukri JobSpeak Index. According to the online job listing platform, hiring activities registered a year-on-year decline of 18% in March 2020.

The Naukri JobSpeak Index also noted that the hiring activities were halted across all the cities in the country. For instance, the job market in Delhi declined by 26% followed by Chennai and Hyderabad at 24% and 18% respectively.
