Mumbai-headquartered robotics startup Emotix, the parent of AI-powered kids’ robot brand Miko, has raised $10 Mn (INR 88.5 Cr) from US-based audio media giant iHeartMedia through the issuance of preferential shares.

According to filings with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) accessed by Inc42, the company’s board approved the allotment of 1,500 Series D2 CCPS at an issue price of INR 5.9 Lakh per share to iHeartMedia Management Services. The resolution was passed on October 31, 2025.

Beyond the funding, Miko and iHeartMedia have reportedly entered a strategic partnership that will see iHeart’s expansive library of audio content integrated into Miko’s interactive robots. As per a report by ET, the move is expected to deepen Miko’s footprint across the US and enhance engagement for young users through family-friendly entertainment.

“Our partnership with iHeart marks a pivotal moment in Miko’s mission to make AI companions part of everyday family life,” Miko’s cofounder and CEO Sneh Vaswani said.

Prior to the latest investment, Miko had raised about $65 Mn in funding from investors like Stride Ventures and IvyCap Ventures. Important to mention that the startup had plans to raise $151 Mn to AMDG-PAX Foundation via issuance of preferential shares back in August

Founded in 2015 by IIT Bombay alumni Sneh Vaswani, Prashant Iyengar, and Chintan Raikar, Miko builds AI-native companion robots designed to make learning and entertainment more interactive.

The startup’s product lineup includes Miko 3, Miko Mini, and Miko Chess Grand, alongside its kid-safe streaming platform, Miko Max.

The startup claims to serve users in over 140 countries, including the US, Europe, and the Middle East, and recently went live with retail giant Costco in North America.

The investment comes amid rising investor interest in AI-driven consumer robotics, as automation and generative technologies push the boundaries of learning, entertainment, and connected devices.

As per a report by Grand View Research, India’s educational robotics market is projected to reach $189.1 Mn by 2030, growing at a 32.1% CAGR from 2025.
