SUMMARY

Gabit has managed to secure an undisclosed amount from Ranbir Kapoor and Badshah

The development comes three months after the startup onboarded Kapoor as its brand ambassador

Gabit is a health tech startup that claims to offer a one-stop platform for all health and wellness needs

Health tech startup Gabit has raised an undisclosed amount in a recent funding round from actor Ranbir Kapoor and musician Badshah. Besides, some other angel investors also participated in the round. Notably, the startup onboarded Kapoor as its brand ambassador three months ago.

Founded in 2022 by ex-Zomato cofounder Gaurav Gupta and ex-SkillTap founder and CEO Aparna Shahi, Gabit is a health tech startup that claims to offer a one-stop platform for all health and wellness needs.

Its flagship product, Gabit Smart Ring, tracks key health metrics such as sleep, fitness, nutrition, and stress. Besides, it also offers a companion app that provides AI-driven insights, personalised fitness routines, nutrition plans, and habit coaching, positioning the product as a one-stop wellness platform.

Shortly after incorporation, the startup netted $9.5 Mn in its seed round in 2023 from investors like Norwest Venture Partners, Eternal founder Deepinder Goyal and CRED founder Kunal Shah.

The fresh investment in Gabit has materialised at a time when the Indian smart ring market is beginning to gain traction, with several startups entering the space. Ultrahuman, a notable player, reported a significant turnaround, posting a net profit of INR 71.5 Cr in FY25, a stark contrast to its previous year’s loss of INR 37.7 Cr.

While Gabit is yet to disclose its financial performance, its competitor’s growth is indicative of the increasing consumer interest in wearable health tech. The Indian smart wearable market was valued at approximately $2.94 Bn in 2025 and is projected to grow to $8.64 Bn by 2030, expanding at a significant CAGR of 23.9%.

Smart rings are starting to attract attention as an alternative to bulkier wearables like watches and bands. In India, several startups including Muse Wearables, and Bonatra have launched their own versions, while global players such as Oura and Samsung are also entering the category.
