POS Solutions Provider QueueBuster Expands To Middle East, North Africa

POS solutions provider QueueBuster has entered the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region to expand its international presence. 

The Delhi-NCR based startup has partnered telecom operator Etisalat and payments solution provider Magnati for distribution. 

“There are two companies that we have partnered in the Middle East, one is a telecom operator named Etisalat. QueueBuster, MSwipe Technologies and Etisalat have together developed a product called U Tap which we have launched in the Middle East market,” QueueBuster founder Varun Tangri told Inc42. 

He said that U Tap, which provides comprehensive payment solutions, brings together capabilities of the three companies – MSwipe’s payment expertise, QueueBuster’s enterprise resource planning, and Etisalat’s distribution. 

Founded in 2016 by Tangri, QueueBuster started as an Android cloud-based POS (point of sale) solutions platform for billing and inventory management to help small and medium retailers. Now, it offers full-stack POS solutions to MSMEs as well as large corporations such as Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), ITC, DLF Brands, Bridgestone, Heineken and others. 

QueueBuster’s POS solutions help businesses manage billing, inventory and daily ledger, set up e-stores and run CRM and loyalty programmes on a single platform. It claims to have onboarded more than 70K merchants with more than 50 integrations. 

It facilitates integrations with Zoho, Tally, GST Suvidha Provider (GSP), Microsoft Dynamics, and Shopify. The platform has also partnered with prominent payment service providers like Razorpay, PayU and PayPal to enable smooth transactions.

QueueBuster already has a presence in Dubai and Nigeria, and gets 20% of its revenue from international markets. With the foray in the MENA region, the startup expects international markets to account for 50% of its revenue by the financial year 2026-27 (FY27).

On the financial front, the startup’s revenue grew 64% to INR 4.84 Cr in the financial year 2023-24 (FY24), as per Tofler. 

With the expansion, Tangri said that the startup is eyeing a 100% year-on-year (YoY) revenue growth. 

He added that the startup is close to achieving breakeven and may turn profitable in the coming six months. “We are at the verge of breakeven right now, so maybe in the next three to six months it will be a profitable company,” said Tangri. 

QueueBuster is backed by the likes of Chiratae Ventures, Omidyar Network India, among others. The startup last raised INR 63.3 Cr ($8.16) Mn in its Series A funding round in 2022.
