Legal tech startup Nyayanidhi has raised $2 Mn (around INR 17.7 Cr) in its Seed round led by 3one4 Capital. The round also saw participation from DeVC, PeerCheque, Force Ventures, and a host of angel investors including Jar cofounder Nishchay AG.

The Bengaluru-based startup plans to deploy the freshly raised capital to expand its network of advocate partners, strengthen its AI product suite, and expand footprint. A chunk of the capital will also be utilised to deepen government “partnerships”.

Founded in 2024 by Adithya LHS, Chakshu Masagali, and Pratik Pany, Nyayanidhi leverages AI to help advocates automate legal documentation, court filings and multilingual translations. It also partners with lawyers to leverage their legal expertise and sectoral insight, while Nyayanidhi’s AI platform automates litigation management.

The platform claims to have already piloted its offerings at various High Courts (HCs) and enterprises, and processed thousands of litigation cases.

“… Unlike vertical AI SaaS, Nyayanidhi partners with advocates to be the humans-in-the-loop who verify AI-driven knowledge work and deliver accurate legal services in hours… We believe technology can remove much of the uncertainty that slows down legal processes. By combining data, process discipline and collaboration with advocates, we want to make legal work more open, uniform and goal-focused,” said cofounder Adithya.

The fundraise comes at a time when AI is rapidly disrupting the legal industry in India by automating core legal processes and transforming how law firms and courts operate. From contract analysis and research to due diligence and compliance, AI bots are disrupting legal management.

This has resulted in the emergence of a slew of legal tech startups, which have bagged big rounds from marquee investors. For instance, just last month, legal tech AI startup Lucio secured $5 Mn in its seed round led by DeVC to offer an AI-native workspace tailored for the legal sector. Similarly, Info Edge recently said that it was planning to invest INR 4 Cr in its portfolio company LegitQuest, which offers a generative AI legal assistant.

At the heart of all this is the growing Indian AI-based legal tech market, which is reportedly projected to generate revenues to the tune of $106.3 Mn by 2030.
