Fashion and lifestyle ecommerce player Myntra has recently partnered with Google and announced about hosting a ‘Google+ Shoppable Hangout’, on the coming January 20, with Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan.
What is it?
Google+ Shoppable Hangout On Air will be bringing together social media and online shopping with allowing over 10 people to interact with each other on a multi-person video chat that will be broadcasted live around the web. The set up will also allow people viewing with ability to simultaneously shop, chat and comment.
Vikas Ahuja, CMO, Myntra said, ” Marrying the power of technology, social media, and e-commerce, we will provide our customers a novel, more personal, and interactive way to shop online on Myntra.com.”
Last year in October Google had also partnered with designer Diane von Furstenberg and the CFDA to host ‘Shoppable’ Google+Hangout. During the hangout Furstenberg answered the questions from guests about her career alongside customers looking into her collection.

The Hrithik affect
The Shoppable Hangout featuring Hrithik will showcase his clothing line, HRX, which was recently being launched by Hrithik in partnership with Myntra (manufactured and sold exclusively on Myntra.com) and will also allow fans to shop and chat with Hrithik online (Which feels like shopping Hrithik’s clothing line with him at your side).
Bollywood Actor, Hrithik Roshan said, “It will give me an opportunity to interact with my fans and shoppers, and showcase my new clothing line – HRX more intimately. I am confident that through this initiative, shoppers will feel more connected to the brand.”

It can act as a platform for the designers and retailers where they can publicly broadcast a multi-person video chat about their products and even provide them with an opportunity to interact with their potential customers and convince them to shop.
