Former GE Capital India CEO Joins InnoVen Capital

InnoVen Capital, the country’s leading venture debt provider, has named Ashish Sharma as the new chief executive of its Indian operations. The appointment came in a little over three months after two of its original co-heads, Ajay Hattangdi and Vinod Murali, quit the Temasek-backed firm.

Ashish, who was formerly the president and CEO of GE Capital India, the domestic arm of the financial services unit of multinational conglomerate General Electric, will take over with immediate effect.

He will replace Chin Chao, CEO of InnoVen, Singapore, and Southeast Asia, who had stepped in as interim head for India in August.

iSPIRT Co-founder Avinash Raghava Joins Accel Partners

Avinash Raghava, co-founder of software think tank iSPIRT, has joined Accel Partners as a community platform evangelist to mentor the venture capital firm’s portfolio companies as well as other startups.

His role is likely to entail holding meet-up sessions and events for discussions with entrepreneurs.

In his role, he will be responsible to ensure that entrepreneurs benefit from the wealth of experience that Accel has in building and growing companies. His job will be to help Accel play a pivotal role in developing the ecosystem through mentoring and thought leadership.

iCubesWire Appoints Shashank B. Veerappa As Group Head – South

iCubesWire, a leading Digital Marketing Solutions provider has appointed Shashank B. Veerappa as the Group Head of the South region. He will head iCubesWire’s Bengaluru office while working towards expanding and strengthening its business.

Shashank brings 13+ years of experience to iCubesWire, having worked in areas such as digital online sales and marketing, product design and management, client and partner management, operations responsibility and has defined multiple roles with a broad range of analytic & creative skills in marketing, lead management, sales & operations. Prior to joining iCubesWire, he was associated with Hungama Digital Services as South India head. He has also worked with Times Internet, Tyroo Media and Exchange4media.
