Revvx Co-founder Satish Mugulavalli Joins YourNest

Early stage venture capital firm, YourNest, has appointed Satish Mugulavalli as Director- Technology. Satish, who co-founded Revvx IOT Hardware Accelerator-India’s first accelerator for hardware startups-will work closely with the fund to identify startups in deep tech, and be the hands-on expert for portfolio companies.

Satish will moonshot innovation, growth and product life cycles for portfolio companies, and also guide them on IP, patenting, system architecture and team building. He will identify deep tech investments in areas like IOT, Advanced Robotics and Enterprise Software.

As co-founder and CEO of Revvx–which helps hardware startups prototype, manufacture and distribute, Satish mentored over 15 startups across multiple accelerator tracks. He has helmed leadership roles for over 20 years in several startups, such as Verismo Networks, Teneoris Networks, Ishoni and Multi-Tech.

He holds patents in digital media and networking apart from an illustrious body of work in architecting high performance systems in voice, video and data networking products, internet platforms and services.

Former India Head Latif Nathani Quits eBay

Latif Nathani, who was heading eBay’s India business up until recently, has resigned from the company. Nathani served as the managing director and vice president of eBay India since May 2013 until last month when he moved back to the US.

Nathani decided to move to the US for personal reasons, however, he decided to quit as the company couldn’t offer him a suitable position in its headquarters in San Jose, California.

He is now replaced by Vidmay Naini, an eBay India old-timer, as the new country manager. Naini, who held the role of director and business head in his most recent assignment, has been with eBay for nearly 12 years now. He will assume his role effective from March 1, 2017.

Nathani, who took over as the country manager when his predecessor Muralikrishnan B resigned, came to eBay with 22 years of experience, including stints at Microsoft and Symantec. He served as the chief executive of product strategy consulting firm MrLMN.com before joining eBay. He also led the consumer incubator for Microsoft India (including equity investments in mobile payments), headed global product marketing for Symantec’s Norton business and was co-founder of eMemories.com.

Sriram Venkataraman Elevates To Flipkart’s Finance Chief

Flipkart has elevated Sriram Venkataraman, the chief financial officer of its commerce platform as the company’s finance chief.

The group CFO will replace Sanjay Baweja, who quit the company late last year. Venkataraman was hired as the CFO of Flipkart’s commerce platform in October 2015.

An alumnus of IIT-Madras and the Indian School of Business, Venkataraman spent a major part of his career at consumer goods giant Hindustan Unilever Ltd before joining Flipkart.
