Deeptech startup Misochain Technologies has raised INR 18 Cr (around $2 Mn) in its seed funding round led by VC firm Capital-A.

The Bengaluru-based startup will use the fresh capital to set up a manufacturing facility for critical aerospace components, accelerate product certification programmes, and scale its engineering and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) capabilities for UAV manufacturers.

“This investment allows us to advance certification timelines, expand engineering depth and move closer to serial deployment across defence and aviation platforms,” Misochain Technologies cofounder Rama Kandula said.

Founded by Kandula and Murali Krishnan in 2019, Misochain develops indigenous, flight-critical aircraft components and test solutions for defence and commercial aviation businesses. Its portfolio includes sensors like air data probes, vibration isolation systems, actuators, and solenoid valves.

Misochain follows a capital-efficient manufacturing model, retaining design, assembly, testing, certification and intellectual property in-house, while outsourcing precision machining to third-party partners. It currently holds AS9100D certification for both design and manufacturing, and has built proprietary probe-heating technologies engineered for extreme flight conditions.

Misochain is also a part of MaXcel, a hardware and industrial tech accelerator jointly run by Capital-A and SanchiConnect. The initiative sees the duo back startups developing engineering-driven manufacturing solutions.

The development comes on the back of India’s deeptech space coming forward and taking the spotlight in the Indian startup ecosystem. The sector clocked 87 funding deals during 2025, raising a cumulative funding of $500 Mn.

Talking about deeptech startups targeting the aerospace segment, Arctus Aerospace recently closed its pre-seed round, raising $2.6 Mn to provide unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for defence forces. Similarly, drone manufacturer Garuda Aerospace secured INR 100 Cr to further scale up its production facilities and to fuel its research and development strategy
