Meta Launches Gaming Accelerator In India With Top VCs

Meta has launched the Meta Gaming Accelerator in India, partnering with four top VC firms, Bitkraft Ventures, Kalaari Capital, Lumikai Fund and Elevation Capital.

The three-month programme will support 20–30 small and mid-sized game developers and studios across India. It aims to help them scale through expert mentoring, strategic guidance, and Meta’s AI tools, including Llama.

The initiative was announced at the Meta Marketing Summit – Gaming Edition. “…By combining expert sessions from Meta with structured guidance from the country’s top Venture Capital firms, we hope to not just empower local success stories but also create a launchpad for Indian gaming companies to scale globally,” said Arun Srinivas, MD and Head, Meta India.

Notably, under the programme, developers in the programme will get:

• Sessions on ad monetisation and platform integration using Meta Ads and Audience Network
  
• Deep dives into player acquisition strategies and campaign optimisation
• Workshops on Llama & AI-powered tools for storytelling, personalisation, and game design
• Business and funding mentorship, led by participating VC Funds and industry experts
• Tailored guidance for cross-border scale and international market entry
  

The programme will end with a Demo Day, where developers will pitch their progress to investors and Meta leaders. Top performers may get platform support and funding opportunities.

India’s gaming sector is growing fast, driven by mobile usage and AI. 

The update comes days after Meta appointed Arun Srinivas as Managing Director and Head of India. He takes over following the exit of Shivnath Thukral, former VP and Head of Public Policy.

Srinivas will assume the role from July and will continue reporting to Sandhya Devanathan, VP for India and Southeast Asia, who recently expanded her remit to include Southeast Asia.

The latest launch reflects Meta’s broader strategic investment in India’s fast-growing digital economy and gaming sector, which is driven by mobile-first users, a thriving creator economy, and rapid adoption of AI technologies.

Notably, after announcing to invest ‘hundreds of billions’ into AI earlier this year, Meta is also expanding its AI presence in India. The company is planning a new office in Bengaluru and actively hiring for engineering and product roles.
