Messe Stuttgart India said that the collaboration will enable Indian logistics startups to access global expertise and insights and potential investors

The event, slated for February in Mumbai, will also see 40 startups showcase their “innovations” across areas such as automation, robotics, last-mile delivery, among others

This follows warehousing platform Emiza closing an INR 100 Cr Series C round and AI logistics startup Netradyne becoming the first Indian unicorn of 2025

Global exhibition organiser Messe Stuttgart India has teamed up with Startup India for its upcoming logistics-focussed trade fair, LogiMAT India 2025.

In a statement, Messe Stuttgart India said that the collaboration will enable Indian logistics startups to access global expertise and insights. It also said that the event will connect participating startups with potential investors.

The event, slated for February in Mumbai, will also see 40 startups showcase their “innovations” across areas such as automation, robotics, last-mile delivery, urban logistics solutions, among others.

“… To further drive growth, strengthen the sector and build on LogiMAT India’s last year’s success, we are proud to continue our partnership with Startup India. Through this collaboration, we continue to showcase innovators from across the country at the Startup Pavilion in LogiMAT India 2025, providing them with a valuable platform to connect with the fast-evolving Indian logistics and supply chain market,” said Messe Stuttgart India’s interim CEO Aditya Gupta.

The collaboration will offer a platform for budding logistics startups in the country at a time when the larger sector continues to seethe under the impact of the funding winter. As per Inc42 data, the funding raised by homegrown logistics startups halved to $185 Mn in 2024 from $368 Mn in 2023. Deal count also fell to a mere 20 last year from 32 in the preceding year.

However, things are on the mend. The first month of 2025 saw supply chain and warehousing startup Emiza close an INR 100 Cr Series C round led by Evolvence India and Mirabilis Investment Trust. A week prior, AI logistics platform, Netradyne, became the first Indian unicorn of 2025 after it raised $90 Mn in a round led by existing backer Point72 Private Investments.

The latest partnership comes at a time when Indian authorities are partnering enterprises and conglomerates to spur the budding startup ecosystem in the country. Last week, the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Bhaane Group to incubate startups in the manufacturing space.

Earlier this month, the DPIIT also signed an MoU with professional networking platform Apna to help startups access top-tier talent on the online recruitment platform. The department also joined hands with FMCG major ITC to accelerate startup growth and technological advancement in the ecosystem.
