Peak XV launched the Surge program back in 2019, when it was operating as Sequoia Capital India & SEA, and has launched two cohorts each year since. Over the years, it has supported startups mainly operating in spaces like AI, fintech, consumer brands, and infrastructure sectors. Notable Indian startups that have featured in the accelerator program over the years include the likes of Plum, Elivaas, MasterChow, Atlan, among others.

Besides Surge, the VC firm manages a capital portfolio exceeding $9 Bn across 13 funds, with investments in over 400 companies across India and Southeast Asia. The firm’s portfolio boasts 31 companies that have gone public through initial public offerings (IPOs) till date.
