Meet 22 Startups Selected For IIMA Ventures’ AI Academy India Programme

Startup incubator IIMA Ventures has joined hands with Google for Startups to launch the first cohort of its AI Academy India programme.

The cohort, which includes 22 startups, aims to help them build artificial intelligence to address challenges across sectors, including healthcare, climate, agriculture, education, financial inclusion and infrastructure among others, IIMA Ventures said in a statement.

It further said that the selected startups will receive practical training, expert mentorship, access to Google’s AI technologies and cloud credits worth up to $350K.

Founded in 2002, IIMA Ventures claims to have mentored over 7,000 founders and accelerated more than 1,700 startups in the past 20 years. 

It has also unveiled several initiatives, including India’s first accelerator (iAccelerator), climate fund (INFUSE Ventures), and deeptech fund (Bharat Fund).

“This initiative aligns with our regional incubation mission to foster innovation and entrepreneurship. The bootcamp has provided 22 promising startups from Gujarat with invaluable resources,” said Vipul Patel, partner, seed investing at IIMA Ventures.

The selected startups are working on diverse solutions including AI-powered ERP systems for education, electric vehicle marketplaces for climate tech, and AI tools for simplifying financial documents.

Magikkraft
