Petrochemical major Shell has announced the 10 mid-stage startups shortlisted for its flagship incubation programme E4 Scale Track 2020. As part of this programme, Shell will help selected startups to strengthen their strategy as well as scaling up operations. The company will also offer access to various resources to these startups including the accessibility to the lab at the Shell Technology Centre Bangalore, investment opportunities, and mentorship.
For this cohort, Shell has partnered with ABB, Anstalt für Verbrennungskraftmaschinen List (AVL), Indian Angel Network, Catapult, Maharashtra State Innovation Society, The World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBSCD). Mobility unicorn Ola has also teamed up with Shell for E4 Scale Track 2020.
The shortlisted startups have been selected based on the uniqueness of their model or idea, and the innovation that is expected to help the mobility segment. Some of the solutions developed by these startups include energy management systems, efficiency improvement, energy auditing, among others.
The 10 Startups In Shell E4 Scale Track 2020
Delhi-based Energos is a deeptech startup which helps clients in manufacturing and industrial setups save 15%-20% of energy consumptions by adding IoT devices and automation and optimisation of consumed energy through edge-deployed self-tuning algorithms. The solutions offered by Energos find applications in optimising heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) and forecasting of distributed energy resources.
IOTomation is leveraging sensors and Internet of Things ecosystem to improve efficiency through infrastructure automation. The Noida-based offers the IoT-driven solution under the pay-as-you-use subscription model to clients in manufacturing and other industrial units.
Gurugram-based LogicLadder offers sustainability management and pollution monitoring solutions. The data generated through the platform helps clients take appropriate measures for maintaining a pollution-free environment and meeting environmental compliance standards.
Cleantech startup Jal Technologies offers indoor and outdoor solutions to measure and monitor air pollution parameters in cities and industries. The startup provides air pollution metrics through its open-source platform.
Electric vehicle startup Go GreenEOT helps other logistics companies to reduce costs associated with the last-mile delivery of products. It offers electric vehicle, battery, charging, and insurance facilities to its clients.
Delhi-based Eee-Taxi provides electric vehicle rental services to corporate employees. It also offers route optimisation services which reduces travel time by leveraging telematics. Additionally, Eee-Taxi provides charge point management system for other EV users to plug in their vehicles.
Navi Mumbai-based Commutec is a SaaS startup which offers its clients, which are fleet operators, to digitise their employee transportation business. The automation solution offered by Commutec allows its clients to improve fleet utilisation, enhance safety, and reduce operational costs.
Offgrid claims to have developed a rechargeable zinc-carbon battery which outperforms available battery technologies in terms of power density, life and cost. The startup aims to cater to multiple industries such as renewables, microgrids, electric vehicles and utilities through its different variants of zinc-carbon batteries.
Mumbai-based Magenta Power is in the offers electric vehicle charging infrastructure designed which is powered by solar energy. It claims that the charging infrastructure is designed for Indian conditions is hot and humid in most parts of the country. Magenta is also developing solutions for the installation of EV charging infrastructure in rural India.
Cleantech startup APChemi recycles plastic waste by chemically decomposing it. The solution developed by APChemi converts plastic waste into oil which it claims has the potential to replace crude oil or naphthalene. Founded in 2007, APChemi claims to process over 75,000 Kg of plastic waste every day.
