Nag is expected to be looking at opportunities in the payments space. PayU has seen senior management churn over the last few months.

After the acquisition of Citrus Pay in 2016, cofounder Rau assumed charge as PayU India CEO and Gupta became an MD. Rau took up a broader role as the head of financial technology partnerships and investments for Naspers’ fintech business.

Ashutosh will report to Olivier Legrand, LinkedIn’s Managing Director for the Asia Pacific region and will join the company’s APAC senior management team. He will relocate to India from Singapore to assume his new responsibility. In addition to his country manager role, he will continue to lead the LMS Online Sales Organization for APAC and China.

Ashutosh will be replacing Mahesh Narayanan, who was Country Manager for India from January 2019 to June 2019.
