Inflection Point Ventures To Launch 3rd Cohort Of Early Stage Startup Accelerator

Angel investment platform Inflection Point Ventures, which counts Kairav, Vividobots, Feline Spirits and Iom Bioworks among its portfolio companies, has announced launch of the third cohort of its early stage accelerator programme.

The firm said in a statement that applications for the third cohort of its accelerator programme, IPV Ideaschool, opened from January 28 and will be closed on February 15.

Launched in January 2024, IPV Ideaschool is a programme designed to support early stage startups (pre-seed to seed stage) in refining their ideas, developing business models and helping with an initial investment of INR 1 Cr. 

The programme focuses on helping businesses progress from the idea phase to a minimum viable product (MVP) within a span of eight weeks.

From batch 1 and 2, IPV picked up 250 startups, after receiving 1,500 applications, including 75 from women-centric startups.

Inflection Point Ventures is an angel investing platform comprising over 23,500 CXOs, HNIs, and professionals who collectively invest in startups. The firm offers entrepreneurs both financial and experiential capital, while also connecting them with a broad network of investors.

Over the past 12 months, the program has launched 6 successful startups and with the third batch, we further reinforce our commitment to support startups which add value to our ecosystem and economy as a whole,” said Mitesh Shah, cofounder at Inflection Point Ventures.

This comes at a time when a wave of startups are floating accelerator programme to back early stage Indian startups.

For instance in January, Games24X7 announced the final cohort for its TechXpedite Accelerator Programme, selecting 17 startups from across India, with a maximum representation from Maharashtra.

In December last year, digital payment aggregator PayU in partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) launched the second cohort of their fintech-focused accelerator programme, inFINity 2.0, for early stage Indian startups.

Prior to that, in September, Amazon’s cloud computing arm Amazon Web Services (AWS) had picked up seven Indian startups, operating in the GenAI space, for its AWS Global Generative AI Accelerator programme.
