Holiday Tribe Lands INR 25 Cr To Boost Its AI-Powered Travel Offerings

SUMMARY

Holiday Tribe has raised INR 25 Cr in its Pre-Series A funding round led by existing backer Powerhouse Ventures

The fresh proceeds to advance its AI capabilities, improving features such as real-time personalisation, demand qualification, itinerary optimisation and customer assistance

Founded in 2022, Holiday Tribe offers customised holiday packages to its customers

Travel tech startup Holiday Tribe has raised INR 25 Cr (around $3 Mn) in its Pre-Series A funding round led by existing backer Powerhouse Ventures, along with participation from GSF and a host of undisclosed angel investors.

The startup claims that Powerhouse Ventures and GSF have doubled down on their investment in this round.

Holiday Tribe plans to channel the fresh proceeds to advance its AI capabilities, improving features such as real-time personalisation, demand qualification, itinerary optimisation and customer assistance. It also aims to build its supplier base for customisable inventory offerings in emerging destinations.

Founded in 2022 by Anshu Sharma and Chirag Goyal, Holiday Tribe offers customised holiday packages to its customers. The startup claims that with the help of its tech stack, it provides speed, scale and accuracy in building holiday experiences.

The startup further claims that it will cross the total gross merchandise value (GMV) of INR 500 Cr in another year’s time.

Holiday Tribe last raised INR 5.4 Cr in its seed funding round in 2024.

India’s Travel Tech Sector On The Move

The development coincides with a funding boom in India’s travel tech sector. According to Inc42’s data, travel tech startups pulled in $127 Mn in H1 2025, marking a 57% jump from $81 Mn raised in the same period last year.

Delhi NCR-based Holiday Tribe competes against the likes of MakeMyTrip, EaseMyTrip and Yatra, among others.

A majority of players in the travel tech space have made their way onto the public markets. While MMT is listed on the US-based NASDAQ, EaseMyTrip, Yatra and ixigo are listed on the BSE and NSE in India.

All these players are setting their sights on the growing travel tech space in India, expected to breach the $750 Mn mark by 2033.
