Genpact Launches Accelerator To Speed Up AI Adoption By Enterprises

SUMMARY

Genpact has launched an accelerator, AI Gigafactory, in Bengaluru to promote adoption of AI by enterprises

The company plans to open more such accelerators in other parts of the country, as well as expand it across the globe

The Gigafactory aims to help enterprises increase the speed of AI adoption via strategic collaborations with partners like Databricks

IT services company Genpact has launched an accelerator programme to spur artificial intelligence (AI) adoption among enterprises.

Called Genpact AI Gigafactory, the accelerator will enable enterprises to rapidly scale up AI solutions from pilot to full-scale production. As per Economic Times, the announcement is part of the full-scale rollout of the initiative, which was being piloted in Bengaluru.

The company now reportedly plans to expand the programme globally, with more centres in India on the anvil. Inc42 has reached out to Genpact for comments on the development and the story will be updated based on the response.

In a statement, Genpact said that it has collaborated with AI startups such as Databricks to spur the adoption of AI solutions among businesses.

The company said that the accelerator programme will have three pillars – scalable AI solutions, multi-disciplinary approach, and responsible AI-first approach.

Leveraging its in-house agentic solutions, Genpact will offer its data marketplaces, engineering libraries and pre-built AI and generative models to help businesses adopt the technology at scale.

“… Using a unique pod delivery model and leveraging cross-functional teams with deep industry, computer science, data engineering, and integration expertise to accelerate the development cycle. Powered by on-demand talent backed by tech-partner certification programs –scaling to a pool of 25,000 builders of AI,” Genpact said in a statement about the second pillar.

With regards to the third pillar, Genpact will deploy its risk framework and ethical design tools to ensure the selected businesses (as part of the cohort) have tools to ensure responsible, safe and ethical use of data and AI.

Genpact is a New York Stock Exchange-listed multinational IT giant that has a presence in more than 30 countries across the globe, offering various consultancy services.

Notably, Genpact is not the only company, in the recent past, that has announced such an initiative for AI platforms. Earlier this month, Games24X7 announced the final cohort for its TechXpedite Accelerator Programme, selecting 17 startups from across India from sectors such as gaming, AI and impact-driven inclusive technology.

Furthermore, Amazon’s cloud computing arm Amazon Web Services (AWS) picked seven Indian startups operating in the GenAI space for its AWS Global Generative AI Accelerator programme in September last year to help them build, train, test, and build their GenAI solutions.

This development comes at a time when India is rapidly embracing AI, from consumers to enterprises. Many businesses are using AI tools to streamline and automate operations, and spur efficiency. Catering to these use cases is the growing number of AI startups in the country.

As per Inc42 data, India is home to more than 200 GenAI startups that have raised more than $1.2 Bn between 2020 and 2024.
