Bengaluru-based generative AI startup ZuAI has bagged INR 4 Cr in a seed funding round led by Prime Venture Partners. The startup stated that the investment will fuel its mission of offering personalised and effective learning solutions to the Indian students.
Founded by Anubhav Mishra and Arpit Jain in 2021, it offers students a personalised and adaptive learning experience across various subjects.
Backed by 100X.VC, ZuAI aims to offer its services to more than 100 Mn students in the next three years. The startup claims that more than 4,500 students access the platform daily, out of which majority are from 7 to 10 grades. In addition, the startup is also planning to add other tools to help learners generate a study lecture within five minutes on any topic, soon.
ZuAI also plans to offer adaptive test series to help students track their progress. Currently, it caters to ICSE, CBSE students and some state boards from grades 4 to 10. Further, it offers interactive lessons with multimedia resources, real-time feedback, comprehensive performance analytics, and 24×7 accessibility.
ZuAI claims to be addressing individual learning styles and provide an always ready, infinitely patient, interactive tutor, tailored to each learner’s needs.
Commenting on the growth plans, cofounder Mishra said, “We started ZuAI with a simple vision of enabling all students to have access to a personal tutor 24×7 and make learning interactive and personalised so that they can learn at their own pace.”
According to him, this investment will empower ZuAI to improve the platform’s capabilities, reach more students in India, and make a lasting impact on their educational journey.
While edtech as a segment has been facing several challenges, all are not gloomy in this space.
PhysicsWallah, which may be considered a competitor of ZuAI, given the fact that both cater to the school students, acquired a 50% stake in Kerala-based Xylem Learning in an INR 500 Cr in June this year.
Yet another competitor Klassroom made it to the news by raising a total of $1 Mn in several rounds from a clutch of investors including actor Suniel Shetty, ah! Ventures Angel Fund, Hem Angels, Pavan Bakeri among others.
In another instance, study abroad aggregator Leverage Edu has secured $40 Mn in a Series C funding round.
