The Indian startup ecosystem has seen a lot of growth in the years gone by. Last year alone, there has been an addition of over 1,300 new startups in the ecosystem, taking the total number of tech startups in the country to over 8K, according to NASSCOM.
With the new decade, come new expectations and despite the number of unique funded startups going down in 2019, there is great optimism among startup founders, investors and enablers.
As per DataLabs by Inc42’s Indian Tech Startup Funding Report 2019 revealed that the total funding witnessed by Indian startups since 2014 to the end of the calendar year of 2019, stood at $58 Bn, with 2020 continuing this journey of maturity.
We understand that this phase will come with its share of troubles and hard yards for the startup ecosystem. But for once, the ecosystem can take a break from the grind and network and connect with each other on a relaxing evening — at least in Mumbai.
