Gaming Startup Felicity Bags $3 Mn To Scale Publishing Infra

Homegrown mobile game publisher Felicity Games has bagged $3 Mn (around INR 26 Cr) in a seed funding round led by 3one4 Capital along with other existing and new investors including T-Accelerate Capital, MIXI Global Investments, DeVC and Visceral Capital.

In a statement, the startup said that the fresh funds will be deployed to strengthen its gaming titles and test new games lined up for 2025. Besides, it will also use the funds to boost its publishing infrastructure and deepen its relationship with game developers and studios.

Founded in 2023 by Anurag Choudhary, Felicity is a mobile game publishing platform which collaborates with game developers and studios. It specialises in hybrid-casual games and claims to help studios launch, optimise, and scale their games worldwide.

Some of its notable titles include Seek & Find, Classic Solitaire, Cup Quest and Care Town. It also claims to have surpassed the $1 Mn mark in annual recurring revenue (ARR).

“By tapping into India’s studio ecosystem and top global talent in UA (user acquisition), monetisation, and live ops, we’re accelerating learning and innovation. This fundraise fuels our mission to double down on innovation, partnerships, and growth,” said Choudhary.

The development comes at a time when India’s gaming sector has been abuzz with activities.

In November last year, gaming major Nazara and Nikhil Kamath’s WTFund committed investments in two gaming startups – Norian Games and Xigma Games.

Prior to that, South Korean game developer KRAFTON’s Indian arm expanded the first cohort of its KRAFTON India Gaming Incubator (KIGI) by adding Gurugram-based Dunali Games and Delhi-based Arjuna Studios. The gaming major also backed Deftouch, a mobile game publisher, with an undisclosed amount to scale up its portfolio offerings.

As per Inc42 data, India is home to more than 435 Mn online gamers. The country’s online gaming sector is expected to become an INR 66,000 Cr market by 2028, as per PwC.
