FanTV Bags $3 Mn To Help Users Create AI Digital Content

The company plans to use the funds to develop advanced AI tools, expand its global creator network, and boost user growth strategies

FanTV, an AI-based content platform on the Sui blockchain, has secured $3 Mn (INR 24.9 Cr) in a round led by Mysten Labs.

The round also saw participation from Cypher Capital, CoinSwitch Ventures and Illuminati Capital. The startup plans to use the fresh capital to develop advanced AI tools, expand its global creator network and boost user growth strategies.

Founded in 2023 by Prashan Agarwal, former chief executive of music streaming platform Gaana, FanTV helps users create and share digital content using AI tools across various formats, including music, videos, and podcasts.

The platform allows creators to produce content while providing ways for them to earn money through tips and personalised creator coins. Operating on the Sui blockchain, FanTV claims to have amassed more than 8 Mn users and 80,000 creators, processing more than 30 Mn transactions.

“We firmly believe that creativity lives within everyone, but traditional content creation barriers have kept too many voices silent,” Agarwal said.

Before launching FanTV, Agarwal served as the CEO of Gaana where he helped the platform grow its user base to 180 Mn. Prior to that, he also cofounded proptech giant PropTiger in 2011, which he grew to over $500 Mn in GMV before exiting at a valuation exceeding $100 Mn.

Agarwal is also the founder and CEO of FanTiger, an NFT marketplace that allows music artists to create and sell music NFTs while enabling fans to earn royalties and gain exclusive access to their favorite artists.

“AI and crypto converging in daily use cases and products isn’t just the future—it’s already happening. While others are still talking, FanTV has built it—AI agents for content creation, executed at incredible speed,” said Adeniyi Abioudin, cofounder of Sui.

The funding comes at a time when AI tools are becoming increasingly popular among content creators, with a recent report by Epidemic Sound noting that 84% of creators use AI-powered tools in their processes.

At the heart of FanTV’s ambition is the Indian creator economy, which is projected to become a $3.9 Bn opportunity by 2030.
