Ecommerce giant Flipkart rolled out the Complete Mobile Protection (CMP) plan in 2018 to provide a variety of post-sale services, like free brand-authorised repair or replacement, extended warranty and software and hardware issues, to its customers.
Recently, the Indian ecommerce company took the CMP services a notch above by introducing doorstep delivery for the convenience of the hyperlocal market. Once the complaint is registered, a pick up will be arranged and the phone will be delivered to the customer after repair.
Flipkart has also assured that the device will be repaired and returned within 10 days and if a customer does not receive the phone within 10 days, they’ll be eligible for a Flipkart e-gift voucher worth INR 500.
Which Phones Are Eligible For CMP?
Flipkart will repair phones from different brands like Xiaomi, POCO, Realme, Oppo, Samsung, Apple, Honor, Asus, Infinix and others under CMP. The price plan will depend on the model of the phone. For smartphones like Redmi Note 7S and Redmi K20, the plan starts from INR 99. The plan will be available anytime from August 21 to 25.
How To Avail CMP?
The user will have to register for the plan when they buy a mobile phone from the Flipkart. The plan will not be available before or after the purchase. The plan gets activated, for a year, after the phone is delivered.
For confirmation, Flipkart will send an email with the terms and conditions to the registered email address. The customers can also call the helpline number 1800 425 365 365 and share their enrolled ID to claim the policy.
The customers will have to pay extra for the parts of the product. They can also claim the policy for screen damages and liquid damages.
“In case of a broken screen or liquid damage, a link will be sent to your [the users] email address for INR 500 processing fee. A pickup will be arranged post the payment- the first pickup and drop will be free,” Flipkart added.
