Easebuzz’s FY25 Profit Zooms To INR 19 Cr

The startup is competing with the likes of Pine Labs, Razorpay and PayU in India’s payment solution space which is posed to become a $253 Bn opportunity by 2030

Fintech minicorn startup Easebuzz’s net profit surged multifold to INR 18.8 Cr in the fiscal year FY25 from INR 40 Lakh PAT registered in the previous fiscal year.

The hefty growth in the startup’s bottom line came at the behest of its operating revenue zooming significantly in the fiscal year. As per the startup’s filings with the Registrar Of Companies (RoC), the operating revenue for the period under review grew 127% to INR 656 Cr from INR 289.2 Cr in FY24.

Including an other income of INR 2.9 Cr in FY25, the total revenue for the startup stood at INR 659 Cr, an increase of 127% from INR 290.1 Cr in the previous year.

A large chunk of the operating revenue, INR 655.7 Cr to be precise, came from the income registered from its transaction fees. Meanwhile, the startup’s revenue from IT support fee fell almost 98% to INR 40 Lakh in the year under review from INR 19 Cr in FY24.

Founded in 2014 by Rohit Prasad and Amit Kumar, Easebuzz’s full stack payments solutions help businesses accept and manage online payments easily. In simple terms, it lets companies receive money from customers through multiple methods like credit/debit cards, UPI, net banking, wallets, and even subscriptions.

It also offers point of sale (PoS) machines for in-store payment collection for merchants via cards and UPI. Beyond payments, Easebuzz also helps automate billing, track transactions, generate invoices, and handle refunds, making financial operations smoother and less time-consuming for businesses of all sizes.

Easebuzz claims to have a client base of more than 2.5 Lakh including the likes of IRCTC, BigBasket, Cult.Fit among others. It accounts for an annual gross transaction value (GTV) of more than $50 Bn and processes 3 Mn transactions every day. The startup is eyeing to become an INR 5000 Cr turnover company by 2030.

Easebuzz competes with players like Pine Labs, Razorpay and PayU in the country’s burgeoning payment solutions space. According to Inc42’s State Of Indian Fintech Report H1 2025, the country’s payment solution sector is expected to breach the $250 Bn mark by 2030.

In February, Easebuzz got a final authorisation from the Reserve Bank Of India to operate as an online payment aggregator (PA). A month later after receiving the PA licence, the startup raised $30 Mn in its Series A round led by Bessemer Venture Partners, along with participation from 8i Ventures and Varanium Capital.

Where Did Easebuzz Spend In FY25?

Easebuzz’s total expenditure in FY25 soared almost 120% to INR 634.3 Cr from INR 289.4 Cr in the previous year.

Payment Processing Charges: The startup’s cost under this head surged 142% to INR 545.5 Cr in FY25 from INR 225.6 Cr in the previous year.

Employee Benefits Expenses: The expanse under this head grew 34% to INR 51.9 Cr in the year under review from INR 38.8 Cr in the previous fiscal year. Employee expenses include salaries, bonus, gratuity and ESOP expenses.

IT Expenses: The cost under this head surged 51% to INR 16.2 Cr in the year under review from INR 10.7 Cr in FY24.
