The Mumbai-based D2C brand will be expanding its retail stores footprint into two new cities over the next two years

D2C mom and baby care brand All Things Baby has raised INR 30 Cr (around $3.6 Mn) in a Series A funding round from Inoventures and the director of the family office Richa Choksi.

All Things Baby’s cofounder Tejal Bajla told Inc42 that the fresh capital will be used to deepen its category assortment, onboarding premium international brands and focus on channel expansion.

Additionally, All Things Baby seeks to develop private labels, invest in new age technology and hire new professionals.

Founded in 2016 by Bajla and Akshay Jalan, All Things Baby is an omnichannel baby and mother care products marketplace, offering premium and high quality products to its customers. The company claims to have a customer base of more than 35,000 families in India, so far.

Bajla confirmed that the company generates 60% of its revenue from the distribution network, while the remaining 40% comes from its D2C line of business.

Earlier this year, the startup launched its first flagship retail store in Bengaluru.

Bajla also said that the Mumbai-based D2C brand will be expanding its retail stores footprint into two new cities over the next two years.

All Things Baby also aims to scale its omnichannel presence by launching its retail stores in eight metropolitan cities across the country, namely, Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Chennai.

This development comes at a time when India’s D2C mom and baby care segment is gaining traction from a lot of investors.

Last month, D2C brand Bumtum’s parent Millenium Babycares raised INR 122 Cr ($14.5 Mn) to boost the expansion of its manufacturing unit and solidify its presence in general trade (GT) and export markets.

Meanwhile, mom and baby care brand The Moms Co was fully acquired by content-to-commerce unicorn The Good Glamm Group.
