Betaout, a Noida based startup has been selected for the prestigious program, TechStars Chicago 2015, a US based accelerator. They received around 900 applications out of which 10 startups were selected, Betaout is the only startup based out of India. Techstars Chicago is a 3-month programme with its Demo day planned for mid-October.
The startup helps small and large ecommerce businesses do behavioral marketing like Amazon. The company offers a plug and play solution that collects customer interaction data across all devices. It builds a master marketing profile of every single customer and then use the same to provide customer segmentation tools and multiple marketing tools like emails, sms on-site engagement to engage customers. It relies on personalized mail for the customer to get a sense of association.
The startup was launched 7 months ago by Ankit Maheshwari, Arjun Maheshwari, Nandini Rathi, and Raghubir Thakur and now is a team of 35. It has renowned clients in repertoire including some ecommerce biggies like Paytm, Goibibo, GOQii Mauj, Viacom US etc.
It claims to have over 20Mn customer profiles and sends more than 50Mn emails per month. Competitors in the domestic market are Wizrocket and Webengage, whereas globally Sailthru is one of the competitors of the company. The ecommerce industry is growing at 20% year by year, following which, the company also has plans to set its foot in India.
It is the second Indian company selected in Techstars, first being MartMobi which was acquired by Snapdeal recently.
