AssetPlus Raises INR 175 Cr To Expand Its Mutual Fund Distribution Stack

SUMMARY

The funding round was led by Nexus Venture Partners to enhance the tech infrastructure of its mutual fund distribution platform

Founded in 2016 by Suresh and Awanish Raj (CTO), AssetPlus facilitates mutual fund distributors (MFDs) and financial advisors

It claims to have onboarded over 18,000 distributors on its platform, who manage more than INR 7,250 Cr in assets under management, serving 1.5 Lakh investing customers across the country.

Fintech startup AssetPlus has raised INR 175 Cr (around $21 Mn) in a funding round led by Nexus Venture Partners to enhance the tech infrastructure of its mutual fund distribution platform, expand its product portfolio as well as strengthen its wealth management offerings.

“We are building wealth management infrastructure that combines human advice with technology-led scale. This capital allows us to accelerate that vision alongside investors who believe in strengthening India’s wealth ecosystem for the long term,” AssetPlus cofounder and CEO Vishranth Suresh said.

Founded in 2016 by Suresh and Awanish Raj (CTO), AssetPlus facilitates mutual fund distributors (MFDs) and financial advisors by giving them digital tools and infrastructure to expand their businesses more efficiently.

It enables MFDs to distribute mutual funds, insurance, NPS and other financial products through a single dashboard. The platform helps them scale digitally, access multiple AMCs, improve advisory quality and earn via transaction-linked commissions, while keeping the service free for distributors and investors.

It claims to have onboarded over 18,000 distributors on its platform, who manage more than INR 7,250 Cr in assets under management, serving 1.5 Lakh investing customers across the country.

Prior to closing this undisclosed funding round, AssetPlus had raised $3.6 Mn from investors Eight Roads Ventures and Rainmatter.

AssetPlus’ fundraise adds on to fintech’s dominance in the overall investor preference list when it comes to Indian startups. In 2025, fintech emerged as the most funded sector with startups raising $2.5 Bn across 120 deals. In this, subsegments like investment tech and lending saw a greater investor interest last year.

Similar investor preference has continued this year as well. Startups like Wealthy and PowerUp have already raised  large ticket rounds this year.

As per a report, India’s wealthtech market is projected to reach $95 Bn by FY30, on the back of a growing investor base which is expected to reach nearly 241 Mn by 2030.
