Anthill Ventures Selects 15 Startups For Its Asian Market Programme A-Scale

Singapore and Hyderabad-based investment and scaling platform for early-stage startups, Anthill Ventures, has shortlisted startups for its Asian market access programme A-Scale. 

The selected cohort comprises of startups from Singapore, India, Israel, and the US, which are working across fields such as health tech, media tech and urban tech. The investment company had also announced its partnership with  Andhra Pradesh (AP) Government for this programme.

The six month long market access programme, supported by Enterprise Singapore, a government agency, is aimed at speed-scaling 18 startups every year by providing them with targeted mentorship on business model refinement and go-to-market strategies.

Through this programme, startups will gain access to over 100 global subject matter experts, over 50 corporate partners and an opportunity to implement their smart products and solutions in the public sector via government organisations.

Apart from this, A-Scale will help the selected startups to raise funding of up to $1Mn and an additional syndicated $20 Mn smart capital via Anthill’s coinvestors network.

The startups have been selected from over 300 applications after evaluating them based on the quality of technology solutions, growth potential, product readiness and scalable business model. The selected startups are focused on building new technologies- based solutions across healthcare, smart cities, media tech, among others.  

Here Are The Selected Startups For A-Scale Programme

Exelot: Israel-based Exelot is aimed at making ecommerce cross-border logistics chain smooth and affordable through its cloud-based technology. By leveraging its cross-border platform, Exelot enables marketplaces and etailers to provide an efficient and affordable service for customers

Abilisense: AI-based Abilisense, headquartered in Tel Aviv provides a technology platform that offers a better and efficient way to analyse sounds from home, work, city and transport

Vuulr: Singapore-based blockchain startup Vuulr offers an online global content platform for the film, television and sports industry. It provides large-scale efficiencies for the global acquisition and distribution of content allowing buyers and sellers to discover and purchase content within some days

TrakitNow: This US-based IoT startup has built a scalable solution to address the gaps in mosquito surveillance. The startup  has created an IoT technology for smart mosquito control management to help control vector-borne diseases

KroniKare: Singapore based AI startup KroniKare leverages state-of-the-art artificial intelligence and thermal imaging to automate the assessment and management of chronic wounds. This ensures accuracy, efficiency and scalability to the healthcare organisations

Raybaby: This AI-based non-contact vital baby monitor device uses radar technology to monitor vitals, breathing rate, sleeping habits and movement patterns of babies. It helps in predicting any form of respiratory illness and heart-problem in them

QuaQua: Hyderabad-based QuaQua is a virtual travel platform which integrates 360-degree virtual reality content for the global travel and tourism industry to provide real and immersive end-to-end travel experiences

Grene Robotics: Hyderabad-headquartered AI startup Grene Robotics helps in making workflow smarter and efficient. The company has built an internet of everything (IOE) platform which helps in bringing people, process, data and things of an organisation into a single unified experience to facilitate easier communication

AdonMo: Using a combination of proprietary hardware and patented software, AI startup AdonMo provides intelligent outdoor advertising solutions by mounting digital screens atop cabs and outdoor screens. It is aimed at bridging the gap between online and outdoor advertising worlds by bringing end-point intelligence to digital out-of-home (DOOH)

ACiiST: Israel-based ACiiST is an IoT-driven venture which converts the existing street light system into an urban internet of things (IoT) infrastructure. It provides scalable, secure IOT infrastructure technology to enable smart cities

Valor Humani: Israeli startup Valor Humani develops plant-based natural drugs for cancer cell destruction. According to the company, it uses nano-technology to produce a ‘Cancer Curing Product’ which is made from plant extracts that destroy cancer cells without harming any other vital organs

Rooter: Rooter is a live sports fan engagement app which brings together the sports enthusiasts and fans during live matches. It claims to have engaged nearly 3 Mn fans till date. It also provides free-to-play live fantasy game and user-generated or aggregated content on the social feed  

HoloSuit:  Holosuit develops AR/VR/MR technologies and tools to bring 10x improvement in time and cost of producing immersive interactive and engaging content for media and entertainment industry. It brings in 3D interactive content from real and virtual worlds to create the next generation entertainment platform.

SPACES: US-based SPACES is a VR-driven startup which uses technology, multi-player and highly sensorial experiences for Hollywood and video game brands.

Zerone Microsystems: Zerone Microsystems have developed a Virtual POS machine for smartphones, based on ZPI, its patented proximity payment technology. ZPI allows payments from one smartphone to another by swiping the two. It does not use NFC and hence works on every smartphone model
