Hyderabad-based venture capital and private equity firm, Anthill Ventures, is hosting a Demo Day entitled “The Marketplace 3.0”, an event targeted towards online marketplaces and enablers looking to raise up to a million dollar.
Marketplace 3.0 is a private, invite-only event for a select group of marketplace startups to present their companies to 50 accredited investors from India and SouthEast Asia.
The event will be held on January 29, 2016 at T Hub, Hyderabad.
Anthill Ventures is an accelerator firm that nurtures ideas and provides market & technical acceleration services with launch capital support. This time, at an event Marketplace 3.0, hosted by Anthill Ventures, startups will be curated through 2 rounds. The sessions will be segregated based on the evolution stage of the startup and the quantum of funds being raised.
Firstly, the startups’ applications will be reviewed on F6S, and then a Skype interview will be followed with Jury member for select startups. A total of 25 startups will be selected for three tracks, involving a seed fundraise of upto $100K, angel fundraise of upto $500K and Pre-series A fundraise of upto $1 Mn.
Selection Criteria For The Startups are:
- Startup needs to be a Marketplace or Marketplace Enabler
- Planning to raise $100k to $1MM
- Scalability of the idea
- Strong entrepreneurial team
- Should have at least a working prototype with some traction or validation
The startups will be judged by Ramana Gogula from Unitus Seed Fund; Rajeev Menon, Prasad Vanga, Founder & Chief Accelerator Anthill Ventures; Pranay Gupta, co-founder, 91springboard.
Apart from vying for some very attractive prizes and funds, the startups will also have an opportunity to apply for the entry to an accelerator program run by Anthill’s partner MAGIC
