Digital freight forwarding startup Agraga has raised INR 100 Cr (about $11.3 Mn) in its pre-Series B funding round led by Bajaj Finserv Group. The round also saw participation from existing backer IvyCap Ventures and a group of global angel investors.

In a statement, the startup said that the capital will be used to strengthen its cross-border logistics business, expand its LCL (less-than-container load) operations, and increase investments in automation, real-time shipment visibility, and embedded financial tools. Agraga also plans to widen its presence across major export hubs in India.

The startup operates a digital platform that brings together freight, customs, warehousing, and financial services in one place. It aims to reduce the manual processes and lack of visibility that have long affected global shipping. Its platform offers real-time pricing, tracking, and compliance support to exporters and importers.

Launched in 2021 by Anoop Raghavan and Venkatesh Narayanaswamy, Agraga claims to have onboarded over 700 customers and 1,000 vendors across more than 40 markets globally. The startup is especially focussed on the underserved MSME segment to help small exporters via its subsidiary Byteport Logistics.

The funding round comes about 18 months after Agraga’s INR 70 Cr ($7.9 Mn) Series A fundraise in May 2023 from IvyCap Ventures and Alteria Capital.

Notably, India’s cross-border logistics sector is growing steadily as exports rise and digital adoption increases across the supply chain. India’s merchandise exports have stayed above the $400 Bn mark in recent years, supported by sectors such as engineering goods, electronics and pharmaceuticals, categories that depend heavily on reliable freight, customs and warehousing networks.

At the same time, the Indian freight-forwarding market is expanding as exporters push for more transparency, faster turnaround and lower logistics costs.

This shift has opened the door for digital platforms like Agraga, which bundle freight, customs, warehousing and finance into a single interface, helping MSMEs and mid-market exporters manage shipments with better visibility and fewer intermediaries.

Agraga directly competes with Freight Tiger. Tata Motors invested an additional INR 120 Cr (about $13.5 Mn) in Freight Tiger earlier this year, increasing its total investment to about INR 270 Cr (about $30.4 Mn).
