Adya.ai partners with Google Cloud to launch ATMA, speeding up ONDC app deployment from 12 months to 24 hours.

Enterprise tech startup Adya.ai, which is also one of the technology service partners for Open Network for Digital Commerce, has partnered with Google Cloud to roll out a platform for boosting ONDC’s adoption among enterprises.
The portal, ATMA (Aatmanirbhar Technology Marketplace by Adya) will allow enterprises to build and customise ONDC-compliant apps and deploy them on Google Cloud within a day, according to a statement.
The platform claims to address challenges such as process complexity, longer deployment timelines and scalability issues faced by entities building apps on ONDC.
It offers pre configured frameworks providing scalable and cloud-based architectures, reducing app deployment time from 12 months to 24 hours.
Founded in 2023 by Shayak Mazumder, Archana Mazumder and Angad Singh Ahluwalia, Adya.ai is one of the technology service partners for ONDC. The platform offers an end-to-end solution for enterprises to create their own apps on ONDC, build customised design and user experience, manage access controls, among others.
The startup’s suite of tools (including buyer and seller-side apps) and a technology marketplace enable quick adoption of ONDC and ensure seamless integration into existing ecosystems.
Adya.ai caters to sectors such as retail, mobility, logistics, credit, insurance, and finance. It has partnered with big names such as Canara Bank, Aditya Birla Financial, and Hindustan Unilever so far.
“Our approach enables businesses to accelerate their market entry and empowers their end users through advanced conversational commerce and cutting-edge deep learning models,” said Shayak Mazumder.
Earlier this year, Adya.ai raised pre-seed funding of INR 10.5 Cr led by Indian Angel Network and others.
Established in 2021 as an initiative of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), ONDC is an open protocol-based network to enable local commerce across multiple segments, including grocery and mobility among others.
The network has been looking to integrate banks including HDFC Bank, IDFC First Bank and Karnataka Bank, alongside fintech platforms like Fibe and others, months after it also began early pilots for credit disbursal through its platform, by partnering with Tata Group superapp Tata Neu and Paisabazaar.
ONDC logged a 21% month-on-month growth in transactions to 12 Mn in July, compared to 10 Mn a month ago.
Last month, the Minister of State (MoS) for Electronics and Information Technology Jitin Prasada said in a written reply to the Rajya Sabha that ONDC has 71 seller applications, 22 buyer applications, and 16 logistics service providers and there are a total of over 5.7 Lakh sellers and service providers on the network.
At that point, it was noted that the network witnessed rapid expansion, growing from over 1,000 transactions in January 2023 to more than 9.9 Mn transactions in June 2024.
In the food and beverages sector, ONDC claims to have captured an 18% market share in Bengaluru. The platform also reported that it captured about 3% of Swiggy and Zomato’s total food order volumes across India, as per its internal analysis in July.
Meanwhile, the Centre rolled out a new initiative to facilitate onboarding of 5 Lakh micro and small businesses on the ONDC platform, in June.
