Hyderabad-based technology startup CloudBoost, has been selected for Startup Chile program.
Startup Chile is an accelerator program that attracts early-stage, high-potential entrepreneurs to bootstrap startup using Chile as a platform to go global.
CloudBoost, which was founded in 2014, is an Applyifi portfolio startup selected in its first batch of startups last month. The company is a hybrid database-as-a-service that makes it easy for developers to leverage multiple types of databases with a simple interface/SDK. The company claimed that in two months of its launch it had served over 10M+ API Calls.
Prajakt Raut who launched Applyifi.com, with an aim to bridge the gap between entrepreneurs and investors said, “Cloudboost is addressing a large, growing market with a strong differentiator product that provides a very meaningful value proposition to its customers. They are taking on brands like Parse and Firebase.”
As for Startup Chile program; it is an innovation hub to reach startups in Latin American economies to attract early stage, high-potential entrepreneurs to bootstrap their startups in Chile. The program offers $35k in equity-free financing to entrepreneurs to temporarily relocate to Santiago, Chile for an year during their launching/development platform.
Startup Chile has graduated over 1000 startups from its accelerator program.
Prajakt is sanguine that CloudBoost can be an interesting software product story from India.
Applyifi was launched in April this year to connect high-potential startups to accelerators, incubators, angel investors and institutional investors. The platform reviews startup profiles and provides investors a detailed assessment report and a 36-point scorecard on the curated high-potential startups. This in turn provides actionable insights to founders to strengthen their business case. Last month Applyifi curated 18 startups to showcase investors in which CloudBoost scored 106 (out of a maximum 114).
