In the latest SmashUp event organized by The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) Hyderabad, three startups managed to impress the investors (TiE) and raise funding of about $23K each (INR 15 Lakh). These were Carving Notions Technologies, SunwizTech India Pvt Ltd and Driverr.
In this 4th edition of TiE SmashUp event, startups were given about 10 minutes to pitch their ideas in front of angel investors, this also included the Q&A.

It not only develops & delivers products to meet customer needs but also ensures about the company’s product development and innovation processes to be positioned for the future. Some of its clients include Reliance, Himalaya Drugs, Phaarmasia, Minda Auto, Radio City, Sahara and Intellectech.

This Bangalore-based company is into development of revolutionary mobile applications based on android and iOS smartphones that help locate the best place for getting vehicles serviced. Its mobile App “CARONE”, an online GPS based solution for all the end users car related problems and needs offers various services that include service due (pickup/drop), bodyshop, insurance, packages and membership and more. Also has a unique GPS based Emergency Alert Facility, ie., in case of breakdowns and accidents.

Funding: $23K
Mumbai and Bangalore-based startup, a marketplace for on-demand drivers. It is a location enabled mobile app like Uber that helps customers discover compatible drivers based on location, ETA and other profile parameters.

The Investors who take part in the instant funding are high profile and serial investors, few of them are representing big funds like Sri Capital, Naya Ventures, 50k Ventures, Hyderabad Angels. Such format of instant funding gives hope for a lot of aspirants to pursue Entrepreneurship as they have a platform to showcase and high chances to get seed fund.”
About 300 people from different stakeholders of the ecosystem (startups & entrepreneurs) had participated in this event.
